Riz Virk explores the intersection of religions, consciousness, quantum physics and computer science in this talk about one of the most consequential questions of our time: Do we live inside a computer simulation? Using examples from science fiction, Virk explores how today's virtual reality could progress to the "simulation point", at which point our simulations will be indistinguishable from physical reality. He then compares this simulation to the idea of Maya, reincarnation, and karma in Eastern religious traditions, and recording angels and the Scroll of Deeds. He also explores how synchronicity, dreams and unexplained phenomena like OBE's and remote viewing can be explained in the simulation hypothesis.
